Uber is beefing up its food delivery arm with plans to launch in 40 more UK cities
Uber is beefing up its food delivery arm with plans to launch in 40 more UK cities.
The US-based firm, known for its taxi smartphone app, said the move was part of a major expansion.
This will also see it roll out the service to 60 other cities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Jason Droege, the company’s head of logistics, explained it was because Uber Eats had been more successful than expected.
The business operates in 14 UK cities, including London, Glasgow and Cardiff.
But Uber is jostling for a bigger chunk of the food delivery sector.
